Govt targets sending 3.7m manpower abroad

The government has fixed a target of sending 3.7 million manpower from Bangladesh for overseas employment in the next five years. This was stated in the Parliament by Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain on Monday, replying to a tabled starred question of Shamshul Huq Chowdhury (Chittagong-12). He said the government has declared the manpower export as the thrust sector, according to a news agency.
