Govt to allocate fund for UZ hospitals' welfare in budget

The government will allocate fund in the next national budget for the welfare of patients at upazila health complexes.
This was informed at the 9th meeting of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Welfare Ministry held at the Sangsad Bhaban with committee Chairman M Mozammel Hossain in the chair, reports BSS.
The meeting recommended strongly that the money of patients' welfare fund must be disbursed within the next 15 days.
The meeting reviewed progress of implementation of decisions taken in earlier meetings.
The meeting discussed in detail the projects under public-private partnership (PPP). It asked the authorities concerned to present information on PPP projects taken under the social welfare ministry since 1996.
Committee members, secretary of social welfare ministry and senior officials concerned were also present.
