Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Wednesday said that government would consider the duty-free import of accessories used by the disabled persons, reports UNB.
"Although there will be no such decision in my budget speech, but this could be done through an SRO," he said when a 20-member delegation of Parliamentarians' Caucus on Disability, National Forum of Organisations Working with the Disabled (NFOWD) and Disability Rights Watch Group met him at his office.
The Disabled Forum leaders have already sought an allocation of Tk 4.6 billion in 21 sectors in the next budget for the development of the disabled persons.
