The government is planning to distribute different types of job application forms under PSC, including that of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), from union level, aiming to reduce harassment of rural job seekers, reports UNB.
"The government has planned to distribute all types of job application forms under PSC from Union Parishad level for the convenience of rural job-seekers", Prime Minister Personal Secretary Nazrul Islam Khan told a function Friday night.
Nazrul, also National Project Director of Access to Information (A2I)
project of PM office, said, "We have already consulted the PSC to introduce the system by setting an Information Service Center (ISC) in every Union Parishad office.
He said the government always believed in dissemination of information among people to ensure its transparency, accountability and good governance.
"As per its election pledge, the government is on the track to build 'Digital Bangladesh' by 2021 by reaching information to the grassroots level", Mr Islam added.
The government has already installed 30 ISCs at different Union Parishads across the country for providing services through the Internet.
People will get all sorts of information about government services in all sectors, including health, education and agriculture, from the ISCs.
