Govt to enact cyber security law to prevent cyber crimes

Draft of the Cyber Security law is now under preparation as the government is planning to enact a new law to prevent cyber crimes , reports BSS.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak disclosed this on Thursday while replying to a supplementary question from treasury bench member Fazilatunn Nesa Bappy in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS).
He also said the government already introduced the ICT (Amendment) Act, 2013 to deal sternly with the cyber crimes. "We have a plan to establish a digital forensic lab in the country during the current fiscal year to find out the deleted data and other information related to cyber crimes," Zunaid said.
Mr Palak said the Awami League government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina provided internet facilities for increasing the internet users, whose number now reached 57.0 million.
He said the government has undertaken various projects to establish Information Technology (IT) parks and IT villages across the country for expanding the IT facilities.
