Govt to ensure rights of all faiths

MYMENSINGH, Sept 27 (BSS): State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mujibur Rahman Fakir said Bangladesh is a country of religious harmony.
The present government is committed to ensuring equal rights of people of all religions. So the people of all faiths are enjoying equal rights in the country, said the state minister while visiting different puja mandaps in Gouripur Upazila in Mymensingh and Shyamganj in Netrakona this afternoon.
He said Durga Puja is the biggest religious festival of the Hindus, who are celebrating the puja in a cheery manner at every corner of the country.
Mujibur said the present government believes in non-communal policy where members of all communities will enjoy their religious activities freely and peacefully.
