Govt to fix paddy price after Boro harvest

The government, after Boro harvesting, will fix paddy price keeping Tk 1.00-2.00 a kg in profits to offset production costs to help farmers, the agriculture minister said. "We won't announce any decision in advance," Motia Chowdhury said at a VGF (vulnerable group feeding) card distribution programme in Nakla Upazila of Sherpur district.
