Govt to import 0.3m tonnes oil from UAE

The government will import 300,000 tonnes of petroleum oil from United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the current calendar year. Of the total quantity, 180,000 tonnes diesel and 120,000 tonnes furnace oil will be imported during the January-December period of the current year. State-owned Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) have already finalised a deal with UAE's Singapore-based Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) to import the petroleum. - UNB
