Govt to increase number of rly police

The government has a plan to increase the number of railway police, Railways Minister Md Mazibul Hoque told the Parliament on Monday. “A proposal has been sent in this regard to the home ministry, which is under active consideration of the government,” he said responding to a starred question of Awami League MP Habibur Rahman Molla (Dhaka-5). The railways minister said that his ministry proposed to increase the number of the railway police by 1441 more people including two police supers. Besides, he said the government will also take steps to further increase the number of the railway police considering the necessity, according to a news agency.
