Govt to set up Arabic University

The government has decided to set up an Arabic University in the country. The Education Ministry Thursday formed a six-member committee led by joint secretary of the ministry (university) to formulate a draft act for setting up of the university and find out a suitable location for it, said an official release. The other members of the committee are joint secretary (technical and madrasa), chairman of Madrasa Education Board, principal of Bangladesh Madrasa Teachers' Training Institute, a representative of Bangladesh University Grants Commission and secretary general of Jamiyatul Mudarasin Maulana Sabbir Ahmed.
