Govt to set up four new river ports

Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan told the Jatiya Sangsad Tuesday that the government has planned to set up four more new river ports in Cox's Bazar, Kishoreganj, Narsinghdi and Faridpur to facilitate domestic trade. Replying to a question the shipping minister said there is a total of 22 river ports across the country under Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA).  — BSS
