Govt to set up two new EPZs

The government has decided to establish two new EPZs - 'Meghna Export Processing Zone' at Gazaria in Munshiganj, and 'Feni Export Processing Zone' in Feni.
This was disclosed at the 28th Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) board of governors meeting in the Chief Adviser's Office Monday.
Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed presided over the meeting, where BEPZA Executive Chairman Brig Gen Ashraf Abdullah Yussuf gave a briefing on BEPZA's success, progress and future plan.
Finance Adviser Dr AB Mirza Azizul Islam, Home Adviser Maj Gen (retd) MA Matin, Foreign Affairs Adviser Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, and Trade Adviser Dr Hossen Jillur Rahman, among others, attended the meeting.
