Govt to sign deal with UNDP for activating village courts

The UN development agency UNDP will mobilise funds for instituting Village Court in rural areas of Bangladesh, involving $14.98 million or about Tk 1.03 billion in terms of the local currency, reports UNB.
For the funding, government and UNDP will sign an agreement today (Wednesday) for the implementation of a new technical assistance project on "Activating Village Courts in Bangladesh".
The signing ceremony of the project will be held in the NEC-2 Conference Room of ERD at about 12:00 noon.
