Govt traces 4 absconding convicts

The government has identified the locations of four absconding convicts of Bangabandhu Murder and stepped up efforts to bring them back home, reports UNB.
Law Minister Barrister Shafique Ahmed informed the reporters of this after a meeting of the task force formed for bringing back the absconding convicts.
Home Minister Sahara Khatun, Home Secretary, Law Secretary, Attorney General, among others, attended the meeting.
Shafique, however, would not disclose the locations of the fugitives for strategic reasons barring that of Noor Chowdhruy who is now in Canada.
He said the Foreign Ministry and the Home Ministry are in contact with the countries concerned through diplomatic channel to bring them back.
