RAJSHAHI, Feb 7: Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami, ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami at a huge public meeting at Madrasah maidan of Rajshahi Sunday afternoon has said, though religion based politics is allowed in more than fifty countries of the world including India, the government of Sheikh Hasina was trying to ban religion based politics in Bangladesh only to please her 'masters' and to wipe out Islam and Islamic practices from this country.
Nizami also termed the recent treaty signed by Sheikh Hasina with India a treaty of slavery and said, realisation of the treaty would turn Bangladesh a battlefield for pro-liberation forces of 'seven sisters' of India and armed manoeuvring field for Indian army. He said, Sheikh Hasina signed such a treaty to please her Indian masters by shelving the interest of the country.
