FE Report | Thursday, 10 July 2008
BADC seed dealers have urged the authorities concerned to allow them to lift and distribute BADC-imported TSP and MOP fertilisers.
In a statement Wednesday, the seed dealers' association of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) said, on January 24 last, the Ministry of Agriculture gave the BADC seed dealers permission to sell BADC imported TSP fertiliser.
But on January 29 last, the ministry altered the decision and gave the BCIC dealers permission to sell imported TSP fertiliser. As a result, the BADC dealers suffered great financial loss, it added.
The agriculture ministry through a notice on January 31 last postponed the distribution of fertiliser by the BADC seed dealers.
