Sunday, 14 November 2010

Businessmen of old Dhaka Saturday urged the government to stop harassing them and create a business-friendly environment in the area providing necessary licences from different agencies. They agreed to shift their business if the government builds a special industrial zone for them. The businessmen were speaking at a discussion meeting on "Encouraging Businessmen in Fire Extinguishing Management" which was jointly organised by Small and Medium Enterprises Foundation and Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association at a community centre in the city. Kamrul Islam, state minister for Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, spoke in the programme as the chief guest with FBCCI first vice-president Jasim Uddin in the chair. — FE Report
