The government will not bow to BNP’s demand to hold an early general election, Awami League leader Dr Hasan Mahmud said on Sunday. “There’ll be no election because of Khaleda Zia’s threat. The next general election will be held as per the country’s constitution,” said the ruling party’s publicity and publication secretary. Hasan was addressing a meeting organised by Bangabandhu Academy at Dhaka Reporters Unity in the city, according to a news agency.
