Govt won't seek foreign aid to face disaster: Razzak

KHULNA, June 6 (BSS): Food and Disaster Management Minister Abdur Razzak said life had returned to normal in the southern coastal belt as cyclone Aila-affected people were getting adequate relief.
The minister said this while briefing newsmen in Khulna Circuit House auditorium last night after a two-day visit to the cyclone-affected areas in Khulna and Satkhira districts.
Replying to a query, the minister said the government had decided not to seek foreign aid to face the disaster.
The minister said the cyclone-affected people were now reconstructing the damaged embankments voluntarily in their respective areas.
