Govt working for dev of edn, health: Chief Whip

SYLHET, Mar 14 (BSS): Jatiya Sangsad Chief Whip Vice- Principal Abdus Shahid Saturday said the present government is working relentlessly for development of education, health and infrastructures in the country.
All will have to work unitedly from their respective positions to build the future Bangladesh, he said while speaking as the chief guest at a scholarship awarding ceremony organised by British-Bangla Education Trust at Ikarchhai Alia Madrasa in Jagannathpur of Sunamganj district.
The chief whip said national development is not possible without quality education.
He stressed the need for flourishing of merit for successful implementation of 'Vision 2021'.
Presided over by British-Bangla Education Trust Chairman SI Azad Ali, the function was also addressed by local MP MA Mannan, Additional Divisional Commissioner of Sylhet Fazlur Rahman, Sunamganj Deputy Commi-ssioner Farid Hossain Bhuiyan, Superintendent of Police Shafiqul Islam, Poura Mayor Abdul Manaf, British-Bangla Education Trust Secretary Mahib Chowdhury and its founding chairman MA Ahad.
The chief whip said the government of Sheikh Hasina is very much aware of the development of neglected areas.
