Govt working relentlessly for development of ICT sector, says Mustafa Jabbar

Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS) expressed optimism on developing the ICT sector as Mr. Mustafa Jabbar has taken oath as Posts, Telecommunications & ICT Minister.
“BASIS Family is honoured & privileged by the achievement of Mustafa Jabbar, the pioneer of the country’s ICT sector,” said a statement.
After taking the oath, the newly-appointed minister visited the office of BASIS. Former BASIS presidents, BASIS Executive Council (EC) Members, BASIS Standing Committee's Chairman, Co-Chariman and BASIS members welcomed the minister with crest & flower bouquets.
Mr Mustafa Jabbar said, “We are working relentlessly for the development of ICT sector. Together we can achieve the vision 2021: Building Digital Bangladesh. BASIS is working hand in hand with the ICT Division for a long time. I believe, this process of progress will be strengthened in the upcoming days”.
BASIS president Syed Almas Kabir, SVP Farhana A Rahman, Vice President (Admin) Shoeb Ahmed Masud, Vice President (Finance) Mushfiqur Rahman, Director Tamzid Siddiq Spondon, Director Didarul Alam and Director Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke were also present.
