Govt working to bring back bodies from Libya

The government is taking necessary steps for the repatriation of the dead bodies of two Bangladeshis from Libya to Bangladesh, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Libya has already contacted the family members of the deceased and the wounded and is in touch with the wounded persons in the hospital and the Bangladesh community in Al-Kufrah, numbering about 60.
Two Bangladeshi workers were killed and another two injured on July 21 in Al-Kufrah city, 1800 km off Tripoli, the capital of Libya when they were caught up in a firefight between two rival militia groups, a news agency report said.
The dead bodies are now kept in the morgue of Al-Kufrah General Hospital while the injured are now receiving treatment in the same hospital.
The particulars of the deceased and the wounded persons, as obtained by Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli, are Mosleh Uddin (dead), son of Abdul Based, village-Shikol Pur, Hobiganj, M ArifulĀ Karim (dead), son of Abul Kalam, village-South Bhuter Dia, Babuganj, Barisal, M Saiful Islam (injured), son of M Abdul Hamid, village Padkona, Sirajganj and M Raju Mia (injured), son of M Motiur Rahman, village Tikri, Tangail .

Earlier on July 14, Bangladesh nationals, including migrant workers, were strongly advised to avoid going to Libya in view of the deteriorating security situation there.
The Bangladesh nationals in Libya have also been cautioned to avoid the areas of conflict and exercise caution in their movements.
