Govt\\\'s image depends on ACC: President

President Abdul Hamid on Thursday advised the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) to ensure transparency and accountability as the government’s image depends on the ACC’s image.
The President made the advice when a four-member ACC delegation, led by its chairman M Bodiuzzaman, presented the annual report 2014 to the President at Bangabhaban, a news agency report said.
Hamid also advised the ACC to collect necessary information and review that before filing any case so that innocent people are not harassed, President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told UNB after the meeting.
The President urged the delegation to work with sincerity and integrity to brighten the ACC’s image.
The delegation apprised the President of the commission’s activities and said it has taken an initiative to open office in every district and hold public hearing as a pilot project in five districts.
Step has been taken to amend the ACC Law-2013 for the quick disposal of the cases, they added.
