BNP Standing Committee member Goyeshwar Chandra Roy has been released from prison after securing bail in a case of violence. Hundreds of his supporters greeted him as he walked out of the Kashimpur Jail in Gazipur district on Friday morning. Jail Superintendent Jannatul Farhad said they received Goyeshwar’s bail documents on Thursday night. “We released him after scrutinising the documents,” said the superintendent. Goyeshwar was sent to jail on April 20 in a case filed with Rampura police station. He secured bail in the case from a Dhaka court on Wednesday, according to bdnews24.com.
