GP-BCB make good start

Touring GP-BCB National Cricket Academy team made a good start in the three-match one-day series beating South African Academy team by 16 runs in the first match at PHSOB in Pretoria Wednesday.
Batting first, the GP-BCB National Cricket Academy team scored 242 for 7 wickets in stipulated 50 overs with captain Marshal Ayub contributing 99 runs.
In reply, South African Academy team were all out for 226 in 47 overs with Y Vallie making 64.
Left arm medium pacer Kamrul Islam grabbed three wickets for 44 runs.
The GP-BCB Academy team will play the 2nd one-day match today (Friday) at Laudium in Pretoria and play the 3rd one-day match on Sunday at Dobsonville in Johannesburg, both against the same opponents, UNB reports.
