A delegation from Grameenphone Ltd, led by its Chief Communications Officer (CCO) Rubaba Dowla, visited Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Tuesday to congratulate the national cricket team on their recent Test series victory over West Indies.
The Grameenphone CCO handed over a bouquet to Lieutenant General Sinha Ibn Jamali, president of BCB, congratulating Tigers on their first Test Series victory on foreign soil, according to a press release.
Grameenphone-the proud sponsor of the national cricket team since 2003- has closely been associated with BCB in the development of cricket in Bangladesh.
Among the significant contributions made by the company, the initiation of pacer hunt programmes in 2004 and 2007, and development of the Grameenphone-BCB National Cricket Academy in Mirpur, are notable.
