GP sees network outage

Grameenphone, the country's leading mobile telecom operator, experienced a temporary network outage on Wednesday, disrupting 4G services and affecting mainly data usage and partly voice calls for a significant number of users.
Customers began reporting issues shortly after 4:30 pm, noting difficulties with accessing the internet and making voice calls. The outage was particularly noticeable in 4G connectivity, with many users unable to access mobile data during the period.
However, services gradually began to return around 5:15 pm, according to user feedback.
Grameenphone's Head of Communications, Sharfuddin Ahmed Chowdhury, said that due to technical issues, "our customers experienced difficulties with our network services for sometime."
He said technical teams resolved the issues quickly.
"We sincerely apologise for this temporary inconveniences," he said.
