GP signs agreement with CDBL

Grameenphone Limited signed an agreement with Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL) at the Grameenphone Corporate Headquarters in the city Thursday, said a press release.
Grameenphone Limited Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Oddvar Hesjedal and CDBL Managing Director and CEO Mohammed Habibus Samad signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
The agreement was signed as part of the company's on-going process for listing in both the stock exchanges.
Grameenphone expects to be listed in both the stock exchanges after the launch the GP IPO in first week of October 2009. Notably information on all share trading of listed companies in both exchanges are automatically captured by CDBL.
As the lone body in the country that facilitates on-line share trading activities, all listed companies in the country maintain on-line connectivity with the bourses through CDBL. In that event Grameenphone has entered into the agreement with CDBL to facilitate this connectivity.
Among others CDBL Executive (Legal Affairs) Feroza Ahmed, Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Grameenphone Limited Raihan Shamsi and senior officials from both companies were present at the signing ceremony.
