Graft cases: SC to hear 2 petitions of Khaleda on July 13

Tuesday, 8 July 2014

The Supreme Court (SC) will hear on July 13 two civil miscellaneous petitions filed by BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia against a High Court (HC) order that had rejected her two writ petitions in the Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust graft cases. Chamber Judge Justice Foez Siddique of the Appellate Division fixed the date on Tuesday. The hearing on the petitions will be held at the full bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice M Muzammel Hossain. However, two other criminal petitions for leave-to-appeal filed by the BNP chief did not come up for hearing on Tuesday, according to a news agency.
