Grameen Bank to help poor students

GAIBANDHA, March 29 (BSS): Grameen Bank has taken up a plan to distribute stipends among the poor brilliant students in the district.
The objective of the programme is to help the students to continue their studies in schools and colleges without facing any financial hardship, and to encourage them in pursuing higher education. Under the programme, a total of Tk 9.19 million would be distributed among 512 students of classes five to twelve this year through 54 branches of the Grameen Bank located in all seven upazilas of the district.
