Grameenphone-BCB Academy Cup begins from tomorrow

Grameenphone Ltd, in association with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), declared the launching of the fourth Grameenphone- BCB Academy Cup 2010 at a press conference, held at its head office in the city Tuesday.
South Africa National Cricket Academy team and Grameenphone BCB National Cricket Academy team will take part in Grameenphone BCB Academy Cup, which begins from tomorrow (Friday) with a four day match at Chittagong.
The competition will conclude on May 11 and will be played at four different venues - Chittagong, Bogra, BKSP and Dhaka. The teams will play two four day matches, three one day matches and two T20 matches.
The academy cup logo was also unveiled at the press conference. The Grameenphone-BCB Cricket Academy team that will play in the Grameenphone Academy Cup against the visitors was also announced at the event.
Chief Communications Officer of Grameenphone Kazi Monirul Kabir, Head of Management Committee of GP-BCB NCA & member of BCB Game Development Committee Shakil Kasem, Team Operations Manager Kazi Habibul Bashar, Team head coach Sarwar Imran and Captain of GP-BCB NCA Mohammad Mithun and Captain of Standard Bank South Africa National Cricket Academy team Wiann Van Zyl were present.
Earlier, a 13-member South Africa A team arrived in the capital Tuesday to play two four-day matches against Bangladesh A team and a tri-nation one-day series also involving West Indies A team.
South African A team (players): Rilee Roussouw, Stiaan van Zyl, Johan van derWath, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Dean Elgar, Alviro Petersen, Thami Tsolekile (Captain), Jonathan Vandiar, Vernon Philander, Thandi Tshabalala, Ethy Mbalathi, Quinton Friend and Heino Kuhn.
Officials: Russell Domingo (Head Coach), Shafiek Abrahams (Manager/ Assistant Coach), Vibhav Singh (Physiotherapist), Russell Aspling (Video Analyst), Johan Cloete (Umpire).
