FE Report
Grameenphone Ltd has been able to restore coverage in almost all areas within its network around the country.
Disruption in the power supply resulted in many base-stations going out of service. However, Grameenphone was able to keep 70 per cent of its entire network operational throughout the critical first 36-hour period after the cyclone which battered the Khulna-Barisal coastal belt and passed through the country Thursday night.
Currently there are only 5 per cent base stations inoperative, concentrated mainly in the hardest hit areas.
