Grenade, pistol, ammo recovered

Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have recovered a powerful grenade, one pistol and bullets from a bus at Benapole local bus stand in Jessore. The seized arms and ammunition had originated in India, said Benapole Sadar Company Commander Subedar Rafiqul Islam of Jessore 26 BGB. He said based on a tip-off, a BGB team raided the Jessore-bound bus and seized the arms and ammunitions. However, arms traffickers managed to escape. A case was filed at Benapole Port Police Station in this connection, said BGB, according to a news agency.
