Grocery owner killed in city road accident

A grocery owner was crushed under the wheels of a bus while crossing the road in city's Pallabi area Friday morning. The dead was identified as Belayet Hossain Manik, 30, son of late Abdur Rahim of Daulatpur village in Chatkhil Upazila of Noakhali district. He was residing in Mirpur area. Police said the accident occurred at Mirpur-12 bus stand at about 8.0am as a Mirpur-bound bus ran over Belayet while he was going to his grocery at Mollah Market in the area, leaving him critically injured. — UNB
