Saturday, 5 September 2015

Ramil Burden, Vice President, Developing Countries Asia and External Affairs Africa of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Laurie Lee, CEO of CARE International, UK arrive in Bangladesh this week to see development projects. They will visit Sunamganj district on Tuesday and Wednesday to address the GSK-CARE partnership and project launch, said an official in Dhaka on Saturday. They are coming to launch the new programme which replicates, deepens and expands on the work done over the last three years in Sunamganj, he said. The project will show the impact and scale they can achieve with their reinvestment in terms of improving access through a public-private partnership as well as the leadership as a responsible private sector organization working in the country. This partnership project will also demonstrate the strength of partnership between GSK, CARE and the public sector in Bangladesh as well as the sustainability and innovation generated in the programme, according to a news agency.
