The Global Society for Supply Chain Professional (GSSCP) recently formed a 19-member executive committee with Tanzil Aslam as its president, says a statement.
Surajit Mukherjee is vice president and Manikantha Howlader general secretary. The executive committee was formally announced through a 'Meet n Greet' session in the city. The 'Meet n Greet' session also marked the GSSCP's journey in Bangladesh. Leading and experienced supply chain professionals of different local and multinational companies joined the programme, held at Gulshan.
With the rising demand globally, supply chain management has become an important concept in most of the businesses and industries in Bangladesh that deals with core business driving issues like strategic sourcing, procurement, negotiation, risk analysis, forecasting, operation and project management, customer service, commercial logistics and marketing management, the statement said.
"Aligned with the trend, GSSCP aims to create a nationwide global standard network of supply chain professionals and organisations to achieve success by offering one stop professional solution with advanced resources, training and concepts," the session was told.
