Guardian Life launches Guardian Takaful soon

The Guardian Life Insurance Ltd. will soon launch its Guardian Takaful, a life insurance category that is based on Islamic Shariah, says the company in a statement.
The statement came following the first Guardian Life Shariah Council meeting held recently at the company's head office at Gulshan in Dhaka.
Guardian Life's Takaful Insurance is expected to be launched by early Q4 of 2022, it said.
The Guardian Life Shariah Council has been formed with joint representation from the Central Shariah Board for Islamic Insurance of Bangladesh and Guardian Life Insurance Limited.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Nazrul Islam Al Maruf Madani, Chairman, Department of Islamic Studies, Bangladesh Islami University, has joined the council as Chairman; Professor Maulana ABM Masum Billah, General Secretary, Central Shariah Council for Islamic Insurance Bangladesh, has joined as council secretary and Mufti Maulana Md. Saiful Kabir, Imam and Khatib, Bangabhaban Jame Mosque, joined it as a council member to represent the Central Shariah Board for Islamic Insurance of Bangladesh.
To represent Guardian Life in the Shariah Council, Sheikh Rakibul Karim (FCA), Chief Executive Officer (CC) along with Mahmudur Rahman Khan, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Business; Shamim Ahmed, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and Majedur Rashid Chowdhury, Executive Vice President and Head of Finance and Accounts, have joined the Shariah Council as members.
Since the company's establishment, Guardian Life has been working to ensure "Insurance for All", and as a part of this effort, the company will introduce the Guardian Takaful.
With this Shariah-based insurance category, Guardian Life will be able to increase their range of services and provide life insurance for people from all walks of life.
