Guchchhagrams to shelter disabled FFs

JAMALPUR, Nov 20 (bdnews24.com): The government has taken initiatives to establish 207 gucchagrams (plaster villages) to rehabilitate disabled freedom fighters (FFs).
Land Minister Rezaul Karim Hira disclosed this today after visiting the spots selected for a gucchagram in Char Jatharthapur area under Lakkhir Char Union Parishad of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila.
He said 50 to 100 families would be rehabilitated in each of the gucchagram.
"The government has also taken plan to create employment opportunities for the sheltered by providing loans through cooperative societies", said the minister.
Later the minister visited another spot selected for gucchagram project at Nakugaon under Nalitabari Upazila in Sherpur.
