Gunfight with rivals kills 'terrorist' in Jessore

JESSORE, Jan 7 (UNB): A suspected terrorist was killed in a gunfight between two groups of terrorists at Swaranpur village in Monirampur upazila of the district in the early hours of Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Raju Sarder (32), son of Rabiul Sarder of Krishnagar Sardarpara village in Jhikargachha upazila.
Jamal Al Naser, assistant superintendent of police (ASP) in Monirampur circle, said being tipped off about a gunfight between two groups of terrorists, a team of police went to the spot around 7:10 am and found Raju's bullet-hit body lying in a mustard field at the village.
Later, police sent the body to Jessore General Hospital.
Raju was accused in 28 cases, he said.
