Gunmen shoot 1 dead in Netrakona

A man has been shot to death by unidentified gunmen in Ananda Bazar area of Netrakona town. Police and locals identified as Anjan Kumar Das Buttu, 33, son of Ganga Coran Das, resident of Cooperative Bank Road in the district town. Anjan received bullet injuries while he was reportedly sitting inside his friend’s chamber in Ananda Bazar. Critically injured Anjan was rescued and whisked off to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Later, he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctor declared him dead, according to a news agency.
