Guterres praises B'desh over Rohingya issue

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina invited UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Friday to visit Bangladesh to see for himself the plight of Rohingyas who have taken shelter here amid persecution in Myanmar, reports UNB.
The PM made the invitation when the UN chief phoned her.
During the telephonic conversation, Sheikh Hasina also sought UN cooperation in implementing the agreement signed between Bangladesh and Myanmar over the Rohingya repartition, said PM's press secretary Ihsanul Karim.
He said the UN chief highly lauded Bangladesh for its steps over the Rohingya issue.
He said Sheikh Hasina invited António Guterres to visit Bangladesh for witnessing the condition of the Rohingyas.
