The Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) has announced fresh Hajj packages under private management for the upcoming pilgrimage session of 2010, reports UNB.
The minimum rate of the Hajj packages is Tk 230,000 per pilgrim, excluding the sacrificial animal usually offered by the faithful on Eid ul Azha, the festival following the pilgrimage.
The president of the HAAB, Mohammad Ibrahim Bahar, made the disclosure at a press conference in a city hotel Monday, after an emergency general meeting.
Bahar said that all agencies would be allowed to announce two packages, with one being the Tk 230,000 package, and another one according to the agency's differentiated services. He also pointed that the government has announced 75,000 pilgrims will be making the journey to Saudi Arabia this year, with the majority of them (60,000) going under private management and rest under the government's scheme.
