HAAB\\\'s Hajj package under pvt management

The Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) has announced the Hajj package under private management for the upcoming pilgrimage in 2015.
President of HAAB Mohammad Ibrahim Bahar made the announcement at a press conference at a city hotel on Monday.
He said the Bangladeshi pilgrims who want to perform the holy Hajj next year would have to deposit money at the Hajj agency office or the agency's bank account and complete online registration from December 15, 2014 to February 5, 2015.
He urged the government to reduce the Moallem (guide) fee to Tk 30,000 from Tk 120,000 as fixed earlier for each pilgrim for the next year's Hajj.
 "We also demand a third airline to carry pilgrims for their smooth journey," the HAAB president said.
He said recently the cabinet approved the draft National Hajj and Umrah Policy 1435 Hijri (2015 AD) and the Hajj Package, 2015.
According to the Hajj package, the total cost for a pilgrim will be Tk 296,206. And next year a total of 101,758 pilgrims will perform Hajj on September 22 (subject to sighting of the moon in Saudi Arabia).
Under the government management, a total of 10,000 people would be able to go to Saudi Arabia for Hajj next year and 91,758 people will perform Hajj under private arrangement.
Last year, some 98,762 Bangladeshi pilgrims performed Hajj under both government and private packages.
