Habibur Rahman new CSE chairman

AKM Habibur Rahman has been elected Chairman of the Chittagong Stock Exchange PLC (CSE) for the next three years.
The Board of Directors of CSE unanimously elected him at a Board meeting on Wednesday. He will replace Aisf Ibrahim as the CSE chairman, says a statement.
Habibur Rahman, a senior civil service officer, has successfully navigated various management roles throughout his career, particularly in the telecommunications sector.
He started off his career in Bangladesh Telegraph & Telephone Board (BTTB) in 1991 as a BCS officer and served BTTB in different positions up to 2008.
Later, he served as Deputy Managing Director of BTCL, as Chief Executive Officer of BdREN, as Managing Director of Teletalk Bangladesh Limited and Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC, and as Director General (Additional Charge) in the Department of Telecommunications.
Habibur Rahman completed his graduation from BUET in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. He also did his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration of Dhaka University.
Mr Rahman achieved 'Integrity Award-2020' during his service career. He also presented papers in different seminars held at home and abroad.
