Habit of reading newspapers
Monday, 30 January 2023
For many people, a day seems incomplete without taking hold of early morning newspapers. But nowadays, many people consume news by browsing online newspapers. Whether it is online or offline, there is no substitute for reading newspapers. If someone wants to know the daily updates of a country as well as the contemporary world, s/he must go through newspapers regularly. Reading newspaper is one of the best ways of acquiring knowledge, too. The stories, columns and articles in newspapers we go through, on the one hand, impart multifaceted knowledge, and on the other, they help expand our power of thinking critically.
Despite having a number of benefits, newspapers nowadays seem to be read only by the elderly people of Bangladesh. Younger generations have grown a noticeable aversion to reading newspapers. As a result, most of our youths are staying themselves away from what is happening in the country and abroad. This is leading them to ignorance which nothing but hinders their creativity. People of all ages, particularly the youth, should develop and cultivate the habit of reading newspapers.
