Haimchar UZ election Sept 7

Election to Haimchar upazila (UZ) parishad in Chandpur will be held on September 7. The Election Commission (EC) on Thursday issued a gazette notification announcing the election schedule for the upazila. Earlier in January this year, the commission announced election schedule for Haimchar and 116 other upazilas fixing polls on February 26. Subsequently, the EC suspended the election of Haimchar on February 26 following the arousal of legal complexities, according to a news agency.
