Hajj pilgrims have to register by Feb 5

The pilgrims wishing to go to Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj next year will have to complete registration formalities by February 5. The government for the first time has introduced a provision for registration for the Hajj pilgrims to perform the Holy Hajj, an official at the Religious Affairs Ministry told this correspondent on Monday. ‘Under the provision, the ballottee Hajj pligrims will have to deposit Tk 1,51,690 and the non-ballottee Hajj pilgrims to pay Tk 1,48,331.50 to the concerned banks for registration by February 5, 2015 to perform their Hajj in 2015,’ the official said. He said the rest of the amount for the total Hajj package money will also have to be deposited by June 10, 2015. Without registration, the official said, none would be allowed to visit Saudi Arabia for performing the Holy Hajj, according to a news agency.
