Wednesday, 5 December 2007

Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia are facing problems due to alleged non-cooperation and mismanagement blamed on Bangladesh government's representatives there. The Bangladeshi pilgrims held a demonstration Sunday at Misafala to protest against the mismanagement in house renting and also other problems. They requested Chief Adviser (CA) Fakhruddin Ahmed to send an investigation team immediately to look into the irregularities. However, an eight-member government delegation comprising Religious Affairs Adviser SM Matiur Rahman, Election Commissioner Sahul Hossain, Cabinet Secretary Ali Imam Majumder, Home Secretary Abdul Karim and other government bureaucrats is bound for Saudi Arabia.
