Halima is worried about her daughter's safe delivery
Wednesday, 8 April 2009
Munni, the elder daughter of Halima is pregnant. Halima is worried because Munni's delivery date is nearing. This is for the third time that Munni is becoming a mother.
But her last two children were alive for a few days only after their birth.
Both the children died of the same disease, tetanus. Because the children were separated from their mother using cook's knife and the delivery took place in her own house. Munni's husband is very poor, a day labourer. They live in a village.
There are some NGOs working for the welfare of the people. A few are working also for safe delivery of childbearing women.
Halima is worried about her daughter's safe delivery this time.
The government and the NGOs should come forward to help Hailima have a safe delivery this time.
