Hamid in Delhi

President Abdul Hamid arrived in New Delhi on Thursday on a 6-day official visit to India. A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President and his entourage landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport around 12:45pm (Indian Standard Time). On his arrival at the airport, the President was received by Indian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Gen (retd) VK Sing, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India Syed Muazzem Ali and High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Pankaj Saran. Later, the President was taken to Rashtrapati Bhaban in a ceremonial motorcade where he will be staying during his stay in New Delhi. Earlier, the President and his wife Rashida Khanom left Dhaka for New Delhi from Hazrat Shajalal (R) International Airport around 10:45am (BST), according to a news agency.
